Network Engineer

Job Summary

Provide onsite and remote support for customers on deployed technologies. The Network Engineer is primarily responsible for configuring, managing and repairing networking functionality for our small business customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Respond to customer inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Monitor assigned tickets and tasks to provide service
  • Provide network, server and email support
  • Support MSP activities including backup, email security, 365, antivirus and RMM
  • Deliver technical customer support remotely and in-person
  • Perform scheduled maintenance

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Desktop break-fix as needed
  • Participate in emergency on-call rotation schedule if deemed necessary

Required skills to troubleshoot and administer the following technologies:

  • Network devices, primarily SonicWall
  • VPN, RDP and other remote access protocols
  • Microsoft Windows Server
  • Microsoft Windows Active Directory
  • Email protocols, primarily Microsoft Hosted Exchange
  • Microsoft 365
  • Backup
  • Remote Monitoring and Management
  • Wireless networking, primarily Ubiquiti
  • Microsoft Windows Desktop OS
  • Desktop and laptop hardware
  •  
  • Full-time- 40 hours/week
  • Normal- 8 hour shift Monday to Friday
  • Will require occasional after hours work including weekend
